Don't Miss This

Lots of pictures of Inuit life from a 1959 trip to Greenland  from KayakGreenland1959.
What is going on here? In my first posting I described why I did this. If you'd like your blog added here please send your request to ApplesAndKayaks@gmail.com

Welcome to Apples and Kayaks!

This site is an experiment.  Many times I've found kayak blog lists, but when I click on the links, it turns out the blog has been inactive for several years.   Fortunately, Blogger offers a gadget which lists blogs, a thumbnail picture, and the date of last posting.  But all that information takes up a fair amount of space.  Hence this blog, with only a short posting at the top and lots of space for blog listings below.
There are other kayak blog listing you may wish to visit.

Paddling Planet www.paddlingplanet.com  Run by Rene Seindal of Venice Kayak, Paddling Planet is a compendium of sea kayaking blogs from around the world.  The site is updated every hour and almost always has something new to look at.  Just an incredible site.

Kayak Quixotica  www.kayakquixotica.com/ and his Big Book of Kayak Blogs http://www.kayakquixotica.com/kayak-world/big-book-of-kayak-blogs/   This is a huge list of kayaking blogs with a short description of the blog.

KayakYak http://kayakyak.blogspot.com/  A team of four writers.  Their blog includes lists of kayaking blogs; one for near British Colombia, where they are located, and one for further away.  They also have several kayak links.

Now that you know about these other great resources, I will continue on about Apples and Kayaks.  The chief advantage to this format is not only can you see which blogs are active, but if you haven't seen Paddling Planet for a few days, you can catch up on what you miss.

Below the first blog listing (with thumbnails) is a second listing of the same blogs; this time alphabetically so it is easier to see which blogs are included.

This listing is not the same as any of those others, I've added more touring kayak blogs, and left off blogs which are not current.  And it's probably not complete.  If I've missed a blog you'd like to see added please send the information to me at ApplesAndKayaks@gmail.com.  Thank you!
